Perpetrators are also likely to have been raised in emotionally and physically abusive environments and learn to use abuse as a way to cope with their own feelings.

I AM A 181 WARRIORThe Government of India has allocated 181 to Tamil Nadu as the Women Helpline and it is intended to provide 24*7 emergency response to women affected by violence. Referrals (linking with appropriate authority such as Police, One Stop Centre, Hospital etc based on the need of the caller) and information about women related Government schemes are provided.
The Women helpline was started in collaboration with the Amma Call Center and was inaugurated by the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on December 10, 2018.
